• Keys: encrypted (AES-256-GCM) inside an isolated signing service that only signs for allow-listed programs, with per-trade and daily caps. Houndbot will never DM you for your key or seed phrase. If you paste anything that looks like a key or seed phrase into the chat, the bot deletes it immediately.
• Anti-MEV (on by default, ⚙ Trade settings → 🛡 Anti-MEV): on SOL, trades go only through Jito private bundles; on BSC only through 48Club, BlockRazor and Merkle private RPCs. Strict mode: if the private route doesn't accept a trade, it fails and tells you — it never silently falls back to the public mempool. Arc, Robinhood Chain and Base have no private route yet, so trades there use public nodes (the bot tells you when you order). Turning anti-MEV off can land faster but you may get sandwiched.
• Safety check (Arc, Robinhood Chain, Base): before every buy the bot simulates a $20 buy and a full sell. "⛔ Safety check failed: …" followed by "This buy was refused — nothing was sent and nothing was charged" means one of: the sell simulation failed (likely honeypot), no liquidity at the current price, buy simulation failed, round-trip loss above 30% (pool fee or tax too high), or the check couldn't run (treated as unsafe). Tokens with a 10–30% round-trip loss or an upgradeable (proxy) contract are not blocked. SOL and BSC buys do not run this check — look at the token card (mint / freeze / LP / tax / holders / death risk) yourself.
• Death risk on cards is a calibrated historical estimate, not a guarantee.
• Protection for your funds: trade PIN, 30-minute cooldown on new withdrawal addresses, export delay and auto-delete, and platform-wide safety breakers that pause trading (~15 min), withdrawals (1 h) or exports (1 h) if activity looks abnormal.
• Too many taps in a short time trigger "⏳ Too many actions, please slow down." (limit: 6 actions in 3 s, 60 per minute).
• Beware of fake bots and pinned ads. The official bot is @Houndsbot.
